Huawei Launches Balong 5000 5G Chipset, to Launch 5G Smartphone

At the pre-communication meeting today, Huawei has officially launched its 5G multi-mode terminal chip called as the Balong 5000 and the first 5G commercial terminal based on the chip. Well, with 5G around the corner we can expect more of this kind of chipsets in the future, According to few officials, the new Baron 5000 chipset is the strongest 5G terminal chip and also first single-chip multi-mode 5G chip.

The Baron 5G chipset will be supporting 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks with lower power consumption and shorter latency. Moreover, this chip is compatible with NSA (Non-Independent Networking) and SA ( Independent Networking) architectures which will cope with the communication capability requirements of the users, as well as the operators for hardware devices in different stages of 5G industry development.

Huawei also released a data regarding this chipset and Baron 5000 5G baseband chip can achieve 4.6 Gbps in the sub- 6GHz band in the lower frequency, 5G main band, while in the millimeter band or the high-frequency band, 5G extended band it can achieve 6.5Gbps which is much faster than the 4G LTE. At the launch, the CEO of Huawei – Yu Chengdong has also announced that Huawei’s 5G foldable mobile will also be released at the upcoming MWX 2019 scheduled in February this year.

Huawei also announced a 5G base station chip and also demonstrated its installation. This now 5G base station is smaller and also more integrated. We are going to see many more advancements in the upcoming days as we are going closer to 5G. Comment in the section below
